Editorial Policy

How we report, source, and correct the news.

These are the standards every story on Viral Pulse is held to. Last updated May 2026.

1. Sourcing

Stories are built from primary sources first: official statements, court records, regulatory filings, peer-reviewed research, and verified eyewitness accounts. When we cite secondary reporting, we link to the original outlet and credit them by name. Anonymous sources are used sparingly and only when the information is in the public interest and cannot be obtained on the record.

2. Fact-checking

Every article is reviewed before publication for factual accuracy. Names, dates, figures, quotes, and links are verified against original sources. Numbers and statistics include context — we don't publish a percentage without the underlying base rate when it materially affects the meaning.

3. Corrections policy

When we make a mistake, we fix it visibly. Substantive corrections (anything that changes the meaning of a story) are noted at the bottom of the article with the date and a brief description of what was changed. Trivial typos may be fixed silently. To request a correction, email corrections@pulsedaily.app or use our contact form.

4. Use of AI in our newsroom

We use AI tools for research assistance, translation between languages, generating first drafts, and image research. No story is published without human editorial review. We do not generate fake quotes, fake interviews, or fabricated details. When an article relies heavily on AI-assisted analysis (for example, processing a large dataset), we say so in the article.

5. Advertising and sponsored content

Viral Pulse is supported by display advertising and, occasionally, sponsored articles. Sponsored content is clearly labeled with a "Sponsored" badge and the sponsor's name, and is never written or reviewed by the editorial team. Advertisers do not see editorial coverage before publication and have no influence over what we cover or how.

Affiliate links may appear in some lifestyle and product reviews. When they do, the article carries a disclosure noting that we may earn a commission from purchases made through those links. Affiliate relationships never determine our reviews or recommendations.

6. Conflicts of interest

Writers and editors disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationships that could affect their reporting. Where a conflict exists, the story is reassigned to another writer or includes a clear disclosure to readers.

7. Comments and community

Comments on stories are moderated for spam, harassment, and content that violates the law. We welcome disagreement and debate; we don't tolerate personal attacks, hate speech, or attempts to dox other readers.

8. Data and privacy

We collect only the analytics needed to understand which stories resonate with readers. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect, how it's used, and how to opt out.
